The party went to the aid of lady Elise after hearing odd Reports of strange Necromancy. the Lady had led an assault on the crypt knowing full well that if the corrupt were involved she would not survive the encounter. the party was simply unable to ignore the possible involvement of corrupt legion.

Luck was on there side and the corpses appeared to be garden variety but the source of them was not. the party found our handmaiden Siri om locked in combat with many undead foes. and rushed to her aid making quick work of the horrors. a Strange magical item bound by a Mechanical device appeared to be dragging corpses from tombs and animating them in sequence. thanks to some quick thinking and luck Lithica was able to disarm the device. yet it’s origin remains a Mystery, research will be necessary to unlock this secret.

However there was little time to fret over the device Siri tended to her wounds and urged the party to head still deeper in the crypt. The party advanced and stumbled on a dark scene. lady Elise was locked in combat with what appeared to be the corrupted corpse of her own mother. a shadowed figure took note of our groups arrival and vanished into the night with a bag strapped to her back. The party advanced on the dark remnant. Grey felt the protection from his soul bound Obsidian take root around Lady Elise and the combat began.

Lady Sivastes corrupted form was a dark shadow of her former self. the long dead body was weaker than the dark generals the party faced on the ship during there first encounter, However her strange power remained she veiled herself in desert sand making her insubstantial and resistant to damage. however she was no mach for the wealth of Disabling effects heaped upon her. and to boot lady elises blades could somehow strike true. the remnant tried to fight but ultimately the party tore through her like a 4 day old bowl of Spicy chili and Lady Elise struck the finishing blow, bringing her mother back to rest and ending the emotional event.

the party returned to the surface only to find the Grand Magister had arrived at the city to assist or so it appeared. the party stood by lady Elises side while they shared words none of them pleasant. Still raw from the battle with her mother Lady Elise had no time for formalities.

Lady: “Why are you here uninvited!”
Magister: “I am here because I heard disturbing rumors that Corrupt legion may have reached the shores of our continent and as you are a Child i was uncomfortable leaving the task to you alone.”
Lady: “I am not alone, Nor am I a child and you have arrived just in time to do nothing and go home. the situation is under control”
Magister: is that what you call a cult of corruption worshipers blowing holes in your populace, perhaps this Theocracy has corrupted your understanding of the concept of control. No I will judge that myself after i examine this crypt. step aside.
Lady: My mothers Crypt has faced enough desecration for one night. you are deluded if you think i will allow her murderer to wander it’s halls.
Magister: “foolish one, your mother is already dead I’m not likely to kill her again. and Corrupt legion aren’t something you can pray away if they are not dispatched properly the entire continent could be overrun. this threat is bigger than your feelings of angst Girl. Your council has given me permission to examine the area, perhaps you should speak with them before you continue this pointless conversation”

Lady elise recoiled in Shock as one of the council members emerged from behind the magister. “He speaks true my lady, we had no idea if you were safe. we held an emergency session while you were in the crypt and decided the cost would be to great to not act immediately” Siri approached the Lady and cautioned restraint "my lady we are in no shape to fight him now. The lady felt exhaustion catch up to her as she moved, Grey caught her and walked aside her to the airship.

Siri and the party moved into the conference room to speak and we will catch up with the party in the air ship after the events of the evening……….

Story Line Options
note, these are suggestions you can disregard them if you want and go chase down something else. but you should consider these active quests. and if left unattended time may change the situation.

    with them blowing things up and resurrecting dead royalty it might be a good idea to look into these lunatics, but the current political climate in the Theocracy may be more dangerous than previously suspected.
  1. Supply lines
    Securing a Supply line for the air ship might grant access to more shinies and a resource for Klakner to upgrade the ship.

Shifting Sands
A Faltering Light.

after leaving the Eladrin peaks, the party heads back towards Galdyr to report the slight success of there mission. when they receive a transmission from an “anonymous source”(cough King Leighton) and the party was given information on two possible missions.

  1. 1 The parade
    p. Lady Elise is facing a difficult political landscape as the youngest successor they have ever had to the throne. there are many who see her as to weak and as such she sought to have a parade using the success of the chosen’s mission to find something to fight the corruption to bolster her support at home and weaken the position of her detractors
  1. 2 Rouge Golem
    p. king Leighton was left with a report of a rampaging golem from the Valrath peninsula. Emperor fyst states that the creature may be corrupted and should be eliminated immediately. Leighton agreed but thinks Fyst may be hiding something as golems have always proven to be Immune to corruption in the past.

In the end the party Chose to investigate the Golem, seeing no benefit to something as superfluous as a “parade” with the danger of corrupt creatures running amok in towns. the party as subtly as possible investigate the strange occurrence at the port town and eventually tracked the strange creature down. it was exhibiting signs of paranoia and fear. things golems can not possibly feel being inorganic constructs. they are bound only by the magics that let them hold there form and yet this creature was acting entirely irrational. the being appears to have some sign of higher consciousness.

the party was able to talk the creature down and eventually found room for it aboard there ship. unusual as it is. they have possibly made a new ally. and this strange creature requires further investigation. perhaps a trip to the Valrath peninsula.

But, what of the parade. surely you can’t be faulted for not being in two places at once. besides it was just a parade. and flowers would clash so horribly with grey’s demeanor. who has time to play politics when the world needs saving. Lady elise had her parade in the honor of our chosen heroes albeit they were absent from the event. she rallied her supporters and announced that the party had had some success. that a power to fight the corruption had been discovered and that they would one day return the world to a place where all could enjoy freedom and some peace. joy and laughter was heard across the capital.

There laughter was short lived. not all regarded this news as a joyous thing. And the Church of Divine Unity. made there shocking and violent debut. as the sun set on the day of this parade the capital was rocked by 3 Violent Explosions 1 at the palace, one in the marketplace of the Residential district. and one at the tomb of the late Lady Sivaste Herself. Lady Elise has ordered the city guard to contain and respond to the situation at the palace gates and to see to the safety of the citizens in the residential district. The queen herself has taken a small but elite force to respond to the shocking reports of undead attacks at the site of her mother’s tomb.

We have arrived
The eladrin peaks.

The Leylerian wilds are home to a strange and exotic host of fey and forest folk. once the center of one of the greatest empires in history it’s current state is dire. the citizens who were not killed during the fighting were evacuated long ago the region is now a Stronghold of the corruption. who knows how many years of tradition, lore, and magic might be lost. but our goal today is to locate some supposed survivors living high in the frozen inhospitable peaks of the northern region.

The party eventually found a few signs of life among the frozen peaks. although not the life they were expecting. these poor shambling corpses looked more like the work of necromancy, they were thin and withered and walked with great difficulty. a scout led the party down a path to an old secluded temple. much older then the surrounding area. inside it the party found a small group of eladrin lead by the queen the last of her royal guard stood in various states of Decay around her. it was revealed to the party that when the fighting began they felt a calling to head north. the queen and her closest guard appeared immune to the corruption that soon ravaged there homeland and the Summer court.

The weakened and exhausted Eladrin admitted to awaiting someone who would release them from there burden. at this point it is revealed that the adornment fastened into her crown was what lead them to the ancient abandoned temple. the adornment was seeking someone. that someone turned out to be Grey and so the party was able to obtain the mysterious power that was said to protect others from corruption. however the item is limited to 6 people. a small victory but a victory none the less. and it would appear that Grey has obtained a Powerful Soul bound Adornment.

The first Flight
Take to the Sky

Recovering the Orb from The handmaiden, The party is deemed worthy. The council then leads them to the Malkir Oasis for a Night to recover before there flight. The area is the Capital region of the Theocracy of Yargo. Emperor fyst Leaves for Valrath peninsula before nightfall and the Grand Magister Takes his leave as soon as the party passes there test.

Leaving Lady Elise and King Leighton to explain the specifics of the situation. and the hope that they may have found something to resist the corruption. Lithica may also be able to share some insight on the subject.

The party met there eccentric and slightly unhinged engineer Klakner and he gleefully cackled on about how it’s his ship and how proud of it he was. after an exhausting evening full of wrenches the party eventually made it’s way off towards the Leylirian wilds and the Eladrin peaks at the northern edge of the continent. Unfortunately the trip was hardly an uneventful journey.

Combat Began after klakner and the party noticed some unusual storm clouds and a swarm of birds.The birds eventually launched themselves into the engine compartment and Flew into the turbines. this damaged the engine and stalled the forward momentum of the ship. after the ship was stalled the party was given a task of fighting off the invaders approaching the deck of the ship while Klakner and his crew of engineers fought the swarms in the engine room and lower decks.

The party fought off the first wave of enemies Defeating an Adult Typhoon Dragon, (3) blood raven swarms, and Commander zaknoril the battle was hard fought and Perilous. but not without reward, Commander zaknoril dropped in interesting piece of armor and valuable experience 14,000. However the corrupt legion is nothing if not relentless. no sooner had there enemies been defeated than another wave of enemies flew from the Island below to confront our Heroes.

(1) Nhargul Dragonspawn Undead Corrupted (named) Dragonskull Keep, Well it appears the keep was made of dragon bones, and the corruption has brought this Long dead beast back to life, it appears to be half bone half Stone all monster. you get the feeling this creature is not to be fucked with…. and it’s…. landing…. on your ship…. oh and it brought a friend because your DM is seriously a dick.

(1) Warlord Dravos (Named) The one and only Freshly Corrupted Warlord Dravos one of the 11 warlords of the Korlathian alliance. he is one bad ass motherfuker and he’s riding the Dragon that used to be a building…. Seriously it would take the entire party not distracted and at least another 4 hours of combat to take this Captin alive and in his wake the Psychic archers minions appear to be writhing and rising from the dead as corrupt Legion. you know by reputation he has armor built of the toughest stuff you can buy, (Someone’s father sold it to him) avoid his AC as it will be Nigh impossible to break through his armor. fortitude is also a daunting task. of moderate intelligence and average will but his reflexes in all that armor were pathetic. Be cautious of this region it’s unlikely that this is the last time you will encounter this monster and his pet castle.

In spite of your Dm’s best efforts to Corrupt at least one party member nobody was tainted and you escaped just in time to avoid being stomped on by big scary things. clakner repaired the engine and the ship burst into motion. try as they might dravos and his monstrosity were unable to match the speed of this more advanced airship. klakner has made a mental note to work on some weapons that can be utilized for future combat at air.

The (Re)training Grounds
Chapter 1 The beginning

The Part arrived for the first time at the proving grounds in the Theocracy of Yargo, there they were greeted by the Council and informed that they will be receiving a state of the art Air Ship to help them explore the possibility of a power that will stop the Corruption from infecting those who are exposed to it in battle.

Before the council was willing to part with such an expensive investment they needed to make sure the party was made up of at least decent fighters. so they were given a simple task, to recover an orb from Lady Elise’s Handmaiden. the simple task was not so simple, however the party preformed adequately enough to receive there prize.

The orb itself is a key to a much more dangerous journey. sleep well adventurers Much weighs on your success. you have no Idea what Horrors await you.
